A Night at the Movies

Free community movie nights will be hosted by WFCU Credit Union to bring communities together to enjoy family-friendly movies shown on big screens in various parks and community centres throughout the region.

Community 1 Chequing Account

The Community 1 Chequing Account designed for charities and community organizations provides organizations with a means for their funds to earn interest, calculated daily and paid monthly.

A monthly fee of $3.50 can be waived when a minimum monthly balance of $2,500 is maintained.

Egg Drop

The Easter Egg Drop consists of 25,000 Easter eggs being dropped from a helicopter for children to collect.

Community Relations Programs

The Community Relations Program includes Youth Sponsorships, Initiatives, Charitable Sponsorship, and Donations. Each year the credit union establishes an operational budget of community involvement initiatives worthy of ongoing support by the credit union.

Goods-In-Kind and Volunteerism

This includes support for numerous organizations and their fundraising activities through the donation of goods-in-kind as well as volunteerism. Many members of WFCU Credit Union's Board of Directors and staff volunteer for various Boards and Committees throughout the community and for numerous fundraising events. WFCU Credit Union also provides product to organizations for use in fundraising raffles and auctions.

Multi-Year Giving Program

The Multi-Year Giving Program provides a means for WFCU Credit Union to assist charitable and/or non-profit organizations that are embarking on Capital projects. Support for these requests for funding is spread over three years.

Scholarships

Through our association with various post-secondary institutions and non-profit community organizations, WFCU Credit Union is proud to support the Ontario Credit Union Foundation Succeed Youth Bursary program, as well as offer the Michelle Voth Memorial Scholarship through the UWindsor Odette School of Business, the Constable John Atkinson Memorial Scholarship through St. Clair College, and contribute to the ATHENA Scholarship Fund.

Speaker Series

The WFCU Credit Union Speaker Series will host renowned personalities who will share unique experiences and perspectives on a variety of topics including entertainment, politics, environment, business, and the arts.

Spelling Bee

The WFCU Credit Union Scripps Regional Spelling Bee gives youth in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent the opportunity to represent our region at the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Registration for the 2024 Bee is now open!

Trick or Trot

The WFCU Credit Union Trick or Trot is a Halloween themed 5K Run, 5K Walk, and Kids Dash. This community event offers a one-of-a-kind experience to Windsor-Essex families you won’t want to miss!

Youth Literacy Program

This customized youth program will give youth in the Windsor-Essex community an opportunity to participate in discussions focused on financial literacy, self-esteem, reading, and anti-bullying.
