Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU) And Windsor Spitfires Form Partnership

$100,000 for Community and Education Programs

WINDSOR , ON ? Locally owned and operated Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU), and Windsor Spitfires were pleased to announce their newly formed partnership which sees WFCU become the official financial institution of the Windsor Spitfires.

Windsor Spitfire Owner Bob Boughner stated, ?The decision was very easy. It's a perfect match. WFCU is a long-standing member of our community with roots that go back over 60 years. They are experts in their industry and they are great supporters of our community. This is exactly the association the Windsor Spitfires want and needs. They have demonstrated a keen interest in our organization and a clear understanding of the vision our new ownership. They are interested in exploring innovative ways for us to provide excitement and entertainment for our audience as well as support for our players.?

WFCU having just launched its new corporate image, products and services is showing how it continues to be innovative and provide unique service to its members. This is the direction also being taken by the Windsor Spitfires. New owners ? new vision ? new energy, but with a solid attachment and commitment to the community.

In addition to the Windsor Spitfires bringing WFCU on as their official financial institution, WFCU is continuing with its tradition of community support and together the two organizations will launch some unique programs and events. In the coming months watch for:

•  WFCU Community Ticket Program ? WFCU will donate 20 tickets to every regular season home game during the 2006-2007 season to community groups in need. In the near future requests can be submitted through WFCU's Website or directly through the Windsor Spitfires.

•  WFCU Post-Game Skates ? WFCU will sponsor two Sunday Post Game Skates. Youth will have the opportunity to skate with the Spitfires following the games. Game dates to be announced.

•  WFCU Educational Booster Gold Partner ? WFCU will contribute a total of $30,000 over three years toward the Spitfire Education Fund to assist Spitfire players with the post secondary school education.
