Windsor Family Credit
Union Named One of 50 Best Workplaces in Canada
Windsor Family Credit Union (WFCU) is pleased to announce that
they have been once again recognized as one of this year's 50
Best Workplaces in Canada. This list appears in a special national
report on Monday, April 28, 2008 in The Globe and Mail.
"We are very pleased to once again be recognized as one
of the Best Places to Work in Canada!" stated Marty Komsa,
President & Chief Executive Officer of WFCU. "This
award is very significant as it is based on direct feedback from
our staff. Our staff work incredibly hard each day providing
our members with exceptional service and implementing the goals
of the credit union. This award is also in recognition
of our comprehensive Human Resources strategy and practices.
From our Member Consultants to our Senior Management, we all work
as a team to make things happen at WFCU."
This list of Best Workplaces in Canada is compiled by the Great
Place to Work Institute Canada. The competition process
is based on two criteria; two-thirds of the total score comes
from a 57 statement survey completed by employees, along with
open-ended comments; the remaining one-third of the score comes
from an in-depth review of WFCU's culture including an evaluation
of HR policies and procedures. This offers a rigorous representation
of WFCU from the employee perspective, and an overall portrait
of its workplace culture. Together they provide crucial
data relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a great
place to work: credibility, respect, fairness, pride and
camaraderie.
More than 24,000 employees participated in the survey.
Information in the survey can be found at bestworkplaces@greatplacetowork.ca.
WFCU is a financial co-operative owned, directed and controlled
