Mastercard update

Your Credit Union MasterCard Credit Card and Global Payment MasterCard is accepted at more than 28 million locations worldwide but there are a few places where it is not. When planning trips outside Canada, effective Oct 1, 2007, please be advised that transactions made in Iran, Myanmar (Burma), North Korea, Sudan and Cuba, will be declined.

Our processing centre will stop authorizing transactions originating in a number of countries, including Cuba, Iran, Myanmor, North Korea and Sudan effective Oct 2007. What this means is that cardholders will no longer be able to use their Global Payment MasterCard in these countries even if the business accepts other MasterCard cards. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
