WFCU OFFERS SPECIAL PROGRAM TO MEMBERS
EMPLOYED AT CHRYSLER CANADA
WINDSOR, ON ? WFCU announced today a program to assist its members
employed at Chrysler Canada. The WFCU Chrysler Care Program available
to all WFCU members who are employed at Chrysler is designed to
provide members with temporary assistance during the Chrysler
restructuring shutdown period. WFCU's current members will have
access to the Program, which includes four initiatives to assist
with their financial situation:
A. Reduce their monthly loan or mortgage payments
by up to 50% for a maximum of three months.
B. Defer their loan or mortgage monthly payments for
up to two months.
C. Access new funds of up to $5,000; available
to eligible borrowers.
D. Current mortgage holders can increase their mortgage
up to the original mortgage amount and the fee will be waived.
"Chrysler has played a significant role in the strong fabric
of this community for many years," said Martin J. Komsa,
WFCU President and Chief Executive Officer. "We want our
members to know that we are here to help get them through this
necessary and highly anticipated Chrysler restructuring. Like
Chrysler, the employees will be required to adapt to a new economic
environment. WFCU must recognize this environment and care for
the transitional needs of our members."
WFCU views the bigger picture of its members' needs extending
beyond WFCU and into the community. WFCU knows that the implementation
of its Chrysler Care Program will ultimately interconnect with
many other businesses and organizations that its Chrysler employed
members rely upon. This is all part of adjusting to the reality
of economic transition.
The Program is available to current borrowing and non-borrowing
WFCU members employed at Chrysler. Members are encouraged to call
519-974-3100 today to find out how they can take advantage of
the WFCU Chrysler Care Program.
WFCU believes in Chrysler and has been a proud provider of financial
services to many of its (Chrysler) employees since 1944. WFCU
is honoured to continue to do its part to assist members during
this period of economic transition in Windsor-Essex.
